About Maplestory Maple Story

MapleStory is the first 2-D side scrolling MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role playing game). Maple Story is a game based on leveling but also has many quests that involve killing monsters and so on. To help you with these quests and basically everything you need to know about Maple Story there are forums and websites dedicated to helping "maplers" level up and have fun in maple story. In-game people buy and sell items using the money system called "mesos", another goal in MapleStory is to gain as many mesos as you can. Another site to help with this is Basilmarket.com which is like an ebay of sorts for maplestory items. You sign up on basilmarket then login and put up auctions and let other players bid and win your items, you can also bid on other peoples items. Once you win an auction you contact the player in game and trade the item for mesos.

Within the game of maple story there are different classes and servers, the classes which you choose your job from are bowman, rogue, warrior, and magician. Each class has job advancements at certain levels; you start as a beginner at level 1 then choose your job at level 10, once you hit level 30 you have a second job advancement(bowman >>hunter or >>crossbowmen, mage >>cleric or >>ice-lightening wizard or >>fire-poison wizard, warriors >>page or >>fighter or >>spearman, and finally thief(or rogue) >>bandit or >>assassin.) As players level up, using party quests and train with there friends on their buddy list and within their guild, and reach level 70, players make there 3rd job advancement and become even more powerful and increase there skills and capabilities within their character. (Hunters become Rangers, Crossbowmen become Snipers, Clerics become priests, Ice-lightening wizards become Ice-lightening mages, Fire-poison wizards become Fire-poison mages, Spearman become Dragon knights, Pages become White Knights, Fighters become Crusaders, Assassins become Hermits, Bandits become Chief Bandits) Now players are reaching the higher levels of the maple story (maplestory) community and can start thinking about scrolling their equips and become "godly" and also they start thinking about facing bosses such as Zakum, Pianus, Papulatus. As most everyone knows in maplestory(maple story) there are maplestory versions that are more advanced from other countries. Korean Maple Story (Korean Maplestory, KMS), Japanese Maple Story (Japanese Maplestory, JMS), Taiwan MapleStory, Thailand Maplestory, Maple South East Asia (Maplestory SEA, MSEA, Maple SEA), and the newest version: European MapleStory (European Maple Sotry, EMS) From these other versions we have found out about the new maps, areas, quests, and data that we dont have but will eventually get such as 4th job. Within each version of Maple Story there are different "worlds" which are just different servers that spread out the community. The main servers in Global Maplestory (GMS, OMS) are, Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia, Khaini, Bellocan, and Mardia. Maple Story is a free, Nexon(the creators of maplestory) make money using a system called the Cash Shop. The Cash Shop is a huge part of maplestory, you click on the cash shop button and are transferred into a small box in the top left corner, the rest of the screen has list of cash shop items that you can try on your character. Some of these items are like normal clothing that you would wear in real life such as coats or sports equipment rather then all the regular fighting equipment in game. These items merely cover these items and give no stat bonuses but or just for the looks. You can also buy pets(pick up your itemsor use hp/mp pots for you) or change your hairstyle and facial apperance. You buy all these items with NX cash which you can get from charging your pay pal account over the internet or by going to target and buying prepaid nx cards that you simply put the code (activated as the card is bought) into the charge nx cash button on the nexon homepage.
